The SASSY TAPPERS, a group of senior ladies, perform tap routines in the North Florida
area and are available for your entertainment, at church functions, celebrations, civic or
charity events, retirement homes and schools.  Some of the venues that they have performed
at are:   
  •        Ambassador for Aging Weekend in Tallahassee for the Governor of Florida
  •        Council for Aging for the Mayor of Jacksonville
  •        Relay for Life in Neptune Beach that supports cancer research
  •        Numerous church functions and Retirement homes
  •        Annual events like Retiree's Banquets, Southern Women's Shows, Senior Expo
  •        Sea Walk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach, Fl  
  •        Arts in the Park in Atlantic Beach, FL
  •        Victorian Christmas Celebration, Thomasville, Georgia
  •                  Jacksonville Oceanside Rotary Talent Explosion at the Wilson Center at FCCJ

Any senior interested in becoming a Sassy Tapper should enroll in the beginner/intermediate tap
classes taught by Ms. Jane Bull at the Neptune Beach Senior Activity Center on Wednesday evenings
from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.  When an opening becomes available among the Sassy Tappers, tap students
demonstrating talent and an interest in performing are invited to join the troupe.

Being a Sassy Tapper requires commitment and dedication.  We average about twenty-five
performances per year and that requires three hours of mandatory practice sessions each week with
time off in the summer months.
